ABOUT THE DESIGNER + OWNER

Hi, I’m Emily!

I have been a floral designer for over 10 years. I designed my way through the industry, working with both retail florists and a number of wedding and events florists, before establishing my own brand.

My background is shaped by many different artistic influences. My family is full of talented artists, and I grew up surrounded by creative minds. I began performing musical theater from age seven, and went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in opera. While in college, I also found myself falling in love with a new art form: floral design.

The first thing I loved about the floral world was how flowers made people feel. Seeing the smiles flowers brought to people’s faces was the most rewarding part of it all. Whether I was designing florals for a wedding or simply a birthday bouquet, I realized the beautiful impact flowers truly hold in our hearts.

Through each flower, style, business, and person I came across in my journey through the industry, I soaked in everything I could possibly learn. What I found to be so beautiful in this art is that you are never done learning. There are always new styles, new trends, new techniques and new people. And as I continued to learn the rules, I also discovered the ways I wanted to break them. Breaking these rules helped me develop my style in this art form.

As I’ve developed my own personal style, I’ve recognized an interesting connection between my theatrical background and floral design. There is music and movement to unique floral design, a dance if you will, between blooms. The way colors and floral types compliment and speak to each other looks the same as what a beautiful song sounds like. This is the very essence of my style that I aim to bring to every event I produce.
